Handcrafted Symbolic Jewellery

This is the Druid Symbol of Awen - Three Rays.  This pendant is sterling silver and will be available to purchase via my etsy shop by the end of this week!
Wikipedia says: Awen is a Welsh word for “(poetic) inspiration”. It is historically used to describe the divine inspiration of bards in the Welsh poetic tradition. Someone who is inspired, as a poet or a soothsayer, is an awenydd.

Amended item, as the three dots at the top of the rays were missing on the original one I created!

This hand cast sterling silver ammonite originates from one I found whilst walking my dog along the Fleet near Weymouth, Dorset.
Ammonites are an extinct group of marine animals of the subclass Ammonoidea in the class Cephalopoda, phylum Mollusca. They are excellent index fossils, and it is often possible to link the rock layer in which they are found to specific geological time periods. In medieval Europe, fossilised ammonites were thought to be petrified snakes, and were called “snakestones” or, more commonly in medieval England, “serpentstones”. They were taken to be evidence for the actions of saints such as Saint Hilda and Saint Patrick. Traders would occasionally carve the face of a snake into the empty, wide end of the ammonite fossil and sell them to the public. Ammonites from the Gandaki river in Nepal are known as saligrams, and are believed by Hindus to be a concrete manifestation of God or Vishnu.

Here is a Celtic Cross I have created, it is made from Sterling Silver, and is of course hallmarked with both my marks and those of the London Assay Office.  The stone in the centre is a Lapis Lazuli.
